Really enjoyed it this time, not quite as noisy as last time. I'll get some cash to you shortly Rob, I may just pop in the shop this week and drop it off. The Gretsch through the AC30 was pretty amazing !

Lawrence always brings a very polished rig, never any signs of jerry rigging.
Crowbgood's amp and pedalboard, I quite liked how tidy and neat it looked

Gettin' his funk awn through some daft beggar's firewood.
Tony, looking very postrock-ish
Tallest forumite there. Pointiest shoes, too. Must come in very handy with his jam-packed pedalboard

Re: Welly Gearfest (new thread) November 30th.
Highlights for me:
- Cranking Chris' Jet City. Yes Willow, you were right. This amp would be a bit of me for sure. Would trade again etc.
- Nik's MkV, particularly when paired with Nik's Les Paul, or Nik's Gretsch. Incidentally, Nik's house has moved to the top of my "to rob" list...
The MkV somewhat ruined me for other amps, it sounded gorgeous. Although, the possibility for infinite tweaking gave me food for thought. Half my problem with even picking up a guitar is the infinite possibilities and my lack of focus, and the HD compounds this too. Perhaps I should be going super simple? Anyway, I digress...
- Scott's rig sounded killer, as usual, much enjoyed having a blast, although it showed up my sloppiness mercilessly.
- Just seeing all you peeps, meeting new people (and not so new, eh Rog?)

Great to meet you all today, and so great to have a blast on some new amps and guitars (particularly Scott's 5150, that was sick!).
Also, as it turns out, the first time I've ever played a real Les Paul today, and I played a few, so that was nice. Now I want one, which is not so good.

Oh, for heaven’s sake, it’s only four light years away, you know. I’m sorry, but if you can’t be bothered to take an interest in local affairs, that’s your own lookout. Energize the demolition beams.

One really great thing about gearfests is playing every cool guitar under the sun, having a ball, then coming home to that 'one' guitar that you love so much and knowing even more now why you do.

I took mine with me! Still love it, but I have a hankering to get her a proper partner in crime, after playing Nik's Gibby LP. And Scott's. Mmm.Rog wrote:One really great thing about gearfests is playing every cool guitar under the sun, having a ball, then coming home to that 'one' guitar that you love so much and knowing even more now why you do.

A Charvel is not "a proper partner in crime"?hamo wrote:I have a hankering to get her a proper partner in crime, after playing Nik's Gibby LP. And Scott's. Mmm.
