I'm going. Only like their Relapse albums but this is their first headlining show in NZ. Saw them opening for Slayer years ago but the set was too short.

Interesting... they're playing a comparatively small venue so I guess they aren't as popular as I thought they were!
I'm fizzing anyway, so I'm happy

Promoter is adamant they won't move it to a larger venue, though I suspect demand would be there.sirvill wrote:Interesting... they're playing a comparatively small venue so I guess they aren't as popular as I thought they were!

going in Melbourne 27th, can't wait, they've played here 3 times since I moved over and it's always clashed with something (usually a trip back home)

Nice!!
Noticed on Facebook if I was quicker back in December I could have met with Bill Kelliher for a chat/guitar lesson thing before the show... now THAT woulda been awesome.
It even said "all skill levels welcome" so I woulda fit right in :p

Bill played here with his side project Primate last year at a smaller venue. Had a quick chat and got a few records signed after the gig.sirvill wrote:Nice!!

Got a few CDs signed back in 2007 too, but have since upgraded everything to vinyl...

Re: Mastodon - Auckland - 25 March 2015
The Ocean (Germany) just got added to the lineup, venue upgraded to Powerstation.
Stoked to see The Ocean again. Saw them twice on their China tour a few years back. Great live band.
