Thanks to Scooter for the heads up. Now, do I go north, or south?

Tempting. The timing is serendipity after I just banked a month's worth of brownie points.Molly wrote:Get in! Both.

Dang... that makes a roadtrip tempting, although I can't really afford it. Wish they were playing Wellington.

Have a Gearfest the next day and invite Zakk.
I bet he'd come along for a jam.

Cheeky sod. It's usually the other way around isn't it? When I saw Extreme at Donnington the sky went dark as the bottles of piss (and I do mean piss) flew towards the stage.StratMatt88 wrote:At least he's sober now, didn't enjoy having beer spat all over us at the '06 gig.

a donnington tradition. Extreme would have deserved it. Not as much as bad news did though
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Ha yes I was at that one. There was some beer in there as well, but a lot of it was rather light in colour. For each of the Donningtons I went to it was always a laugh to see what vessels they were going to make us put our beer into and then how they were used to launch beer/piss into the crowd.Molly wrote:Cheeky sod. I remember Gary Cherone having a little hissy moment because at least the first 20 rows of the crowd were turned around watching the piss war going on behind them.
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

I was in those twenty rows. I remember looking back and watching the bottles come over. He had a little fit about people saying they shouldn't be on the bill. Did a good Queen cover of Seven Seas of Rye from memory. Can't recall much else.Danger Mouse wrote:

I was quite a way back, the rest of the crowd that couldn't launch as far as the stage just went to war on each other. The sky really did turn dark, there were thousands of airborne beer vessels blocking out the sun.Molly wrote:I was in those twenty rows. I remember looking back and watching the bottles come over.
