Re: Meridian Gardens Magic This Friday Night.
Great show from Darren and the band. Good crowd, sound was just right and the weather was perfect.
some gig photos a friend of mine took:
Darren opened with an acoustic set then the band.
Slipped in a reference to Third Stone from the Sun in one of his solos and while my friend and I 'knew' it we couldn't name the song. Finally figured it out this morning. One of those things that nags you until you sort it.
And don't worry, the accordion was just for one song!
Anyway, excellent gig, well done everyone.

Nice! And he still looks cool with his guitar up high!

Ah was this from Saturday or Friday night? I turned up late, like after 8:30ish, on Saturday. The air force easy jazz band or something werr playing. Pleasant stuff.

Friday night. Darren is the full deal; guitar, vocals and songwriting. And he has crack bands with him as well. I do like his solo acoustic stuff though.
Darren you should do an acoustic album, with lotsa slide!
