Hey Wellingtonians, I'm coming down to play Meow on April 10th so if you're up for supporting some live music or want to come down and talk gear that'd be awesome!
Couple of questions too:
- Still trying to lock one more act in that will bring a few people along. Someone in the singer/songwriter type vein would be amazing. Does anyone have any suggestions?
- There is great back line at Meow, including a Fender amp which I'm more than happy about using but thought I'd quickly ask if anyone has an ac30 they'd lend/borrow for a few hours? Big ask, I know, but just putting it out there

Unless they hid the Fender from us on the 16th, that amp is a MusicMan. Not that it probably makes much diff?

Cheers Vince, I might recheck with them about it! How did you like the venue? They've been great to deal with from the start I've found. Certainly one of the best venues I've dealt with

Yeah... it seemed ok. Nice venue. Good backline, as you say.SimonHirst wrote:Cheers Vince, I might recheck with them about it! How did you like the venue? They've been great to deal with from the start I've found. Certainly one of the best venues I've dealt with
TBH, the main thing I disliked was that they insisted we do any soundchecking from 2:00 to 4:00pm because it was a weekday and they do the after work crowd later on.
Fair enough, money is money. But we were a revue type evening with about six acts so that was clearly impossible but they wouldn't budge on the time.
But other than that, it was a pretty good experience.
