So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

I think I might just try and get to this one ~ his new album is pretty damn good and it will be guitar/amp porn heaven if you're anywhere close to the front.
Thanks for the heads up!

Do people still ship their amps down for OZ/NZ tours? That's probably rather uneconomical nowadays. It would probably be a bunch of rented Marshalls.Mini Forklift Ⓥ wrote: it will be guitar/amp porn heaven if you're anywhere close to the front.

I could be wrong but every single show I've seen him do (YouTube not live BTW) he appears to use all of his own gear. I honestly don't think he has any financial concerns to consider, unlike most artists !!godgrinder wrote:Do people still ship their amps down for OZ/NZ tours? Dunno, I've seen bigger bands/artists that have logistic costs concerns nowadays. Most videos you see would be him touring in the US, that's a whole different story.Mini Forklift Ⓥ wrote:I could be wrong but every single show I've seen him do (YouTube not live BTW) he appears to use all of his own gear. He seem to be fairly happy with stock Marshalls (JMP, Jubilee, DSL) though. Bet he'd still sound great even through a DSL.

You could be right. Interesting to see what he is playing towards the end of this year, he's been playing through 4 x Tweeds for quite a while now. Would be nice to see him bring the Jubilee's & Dumble/VW back into action again.

When he was here in 2014 he played through a wall of Marshall DSL half stacks! So if you are going for the amp porn think twice!

Yuck. Blues.
But I see he plays the theremin. I'd go if that's all he was playing.

Yuck blues indeed, could be worse, could be surf - a much more popular and viable genre and the root of all modern rock music...StrummersOfThunder wrote:Yuck. Blues.

I'll leave the theramin to you. After 20 minutes of 50's sci-fi films, it gives me a headache.

Nah, he's an impressive guitarist, but to be honest, there needs to be more...
To be honest, I've never forgiven him for what he did to "Jockey Full of Bourbon".
