The Sound Of Traffic, San Fran Thu. 19/05

Post by Vince »

The Sound of Traffic is my three piece band and we're playing the San Fran acoustic showcase on the 19th.

The music, though nominally "acoustic" is quite groove based and hypnotic with a fair bit of improvisation, which makes it approach a sort of jazz.

So no, we don't do Wagon Wheel.

Entry is free and we're playing with a couple of other performers, Charlotte Weston and Elliot Harris.

So if you don't know where to plonk your arse for an after work beersie or two, this would be a most propitious and indicated idea.
"Vince, have you ever tried playing an expensive bass?" - Polarbear.
"And isn't that the finest acoustic bass guitar feedback solo you've ever heard?" - Billy Moose.

Auckland?
There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

No, it's a famous Wellington venue. On Cuba Street. It used to be called the San Francisco Bath House but it's rebranded to plain old San Fran.

Probably for the best. When I first encountered it years ago, I assumed it was a Gay sauna.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

You'd think so, eh? Maybe it was, at some point. Personally, I've never liked the name but then, I'm not paying the bills.

So this is what we do, though the combination of a mixer who hadn't seen us before and a cheap tablet did not do great things for the sound quality
