Haha thanks very much. Great you could make it along on such a misty dreary night.JHorner wrote:nailed it.
crowd loved it and the musos appreciated how tight you were.
just wondering: what's your practice schedule like?
We had a great night. Very good crowd. They really got into it And yes was nice to have quite a number of musos watching.
Hmm we probably practice once a month. Drinking beer and doing pee wee Herman impressions counts as band practice right ?

One of the other cool outcomes is that our original 'piha pipeline ' will be broadcast on Piha Radio in the near future

That gig Last night reinforced for me just what an unbelievably great guitar my 1964 jag with avri 65 pickups and mastery bridge really is. You've heard it as a throw away comment on this forum a million times but for me, that guitar is a dead set keeper.
Such a pleasure to play. It just feels so good with that well worn vintage c neck, the crazing and battle scars. And it just cuts through everything in its path. The other thing that was noticeable is how well the pairing of that jag and bens old gretsch anniversary works. Glassy tubular fender tones and the gritty rawk of a bridge gretsch pickup. Me oh my. Oh and the tweaked that Ben was using was great! Take that fancy pants amp snobbery , $600 dollars of Nan's wicker chair clad fury. Nice one!
