Aussie Metal bands seek support band in Auckland
a friend of mine is helping an aussie prog metal band who are playing at the Kings Arms in Auckland and the Valhalla in Wellington later this month
are any of you guys interested in supporting them (edit) in Auckland)?
I don't have any details other than this at the moment other than the bands name: I`m not sure about the dates.

There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

both bands are playing on the same bill. I think they need at least one support act per venue.
sorry about the dates but I`m not 100% sure when the Auck gig is

I've shared the thread with the bassist from Helgorithms. They could be well suited and gig often.

I wish you were talking to me, I've tried plenty of times to get something going, but I just get spotty teenagers replying to my ads (makes me feel like I'm grooming, rather than starting a band ).mrmofo wrote:ahhh no way, I was talking to a guy a while ago and thought it was you LOL!
Danger Mouse isn't unique in the greater forum world, you may have been talking to a Danger Mouse, just not this one.

yea, it`s not easy getting band mates once you hit over 30 I guess, I`m the youngest in my band and I`m mid 40`s haha.

Re: Aussie Metal bands seek support band in Auckland
agree, I'm 37, but those of you who have met me IRL will probably attest to the fact I look younger. I mostly end up jamming with younger folks because of my musical tastes, and the fact my contemporaries are also competing with family time.mrmofo wrote:yea, it`s not easy getting band mates once you hit over 30 I guess, I`m the youngest in my band and I`m mid 40`s haha.
Kind interesting though, how tastes both change, and stay the same as you age. There are bunch of guys who jam at my practice space who are all pushing late 40's/early 50's, but are still dressing like thrash metallers with frizzy hair, a dozen box of Woodies each jam and Hanger 18 covers to boot, which they nail.

Heh I think the average in my originals band is 39, and that is dragged down by the 34 yo singer...
