Yeah mate, i booked flights/accom before the tickets were out. I've wanted to see both bands for many years. I enjoy them both equally but i'm more excited to see Gojira perform.

I already had flights and accommodation - was meant to be going to A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Pop Up Globe that night - luckily I have an understanding wife.

Check the Mastodon FB page. Bill has added the NZ show to his guitar lesson list, the details are on it. Nothing for Brent yet

We must have been an add-on; they’re website doesn’t even have our show on their list of dates.

Actually I've got something on with the wife earlier in the day, better not skip both :/

Bill seems like he'd give great lessons. Brent would be an experience.

For anyone interested in the Guitar lessons thing.

"LESSONS

Hey thanks for your interest!

Here is the deal, the Guitar lesson/hang is for 1 hour from NOON till 1pm

this has been my 10th tour doing the lessons and has been a great response so far.

all guitar playing levels are welcome,
most students are beginners, so don’t be shy.
very laid back atmosphere

teaching scales that I made up and in depth techniques I have learned over the 31 years of playing guitar, strengthening individual fingers, chords
open string songwriting and general in depth songwriting techniques, I will answer any questions you have as well

It costs $175 (USD) get there about 20 mins to NOON you can also pay in cash in Euros or pounds, but I prefer PayPal to secure your spot.

you don't have to have tix for the show.
Tix are not included in the purchase of the lessons

Bring a guitar tuned to DGCFAD and small amp and we will have a small room to do the lessons, and any Mastodon songs I wrote you may want to learn.
You can have anything signed as well or if you just want to come to watch and listen thats fine too.

There will be groups of 6 (tops) people in each lesson and first come first served, so if you are interested you need to pay soon to secure your spot.
you can paypal the $175 IN US Dollars to butterslax@hotmail.com
Please make sure you put the currency in USD otherwise it will be declined.

!!!!!!!VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!

when you pay make sure to put in the notes your name,EMAIL ADDRESS for contact and what CITY you will be at.

I will send you a confirmation and we will meet at the venue and go from there.
usually meet at the box office at 10 to Noon an I will bring the group back.

thanks for your interest!!

That is awesome! I'm not from in town so the guitar/amp thing is a bit tricky, but if I'm in the US when they're passing through I should keep this in mind!
