Wanted: Paid. Auckland. Guitar tech/stage help for one off private gig
Hi team,
Looking for someone healthy, alert, slim (compact stage) and tolerant of some old guys making noise for the first time in years.
Our band leader is turning 60 and the Mysterons are turning 40!
We’ve booked Whammy Bar on 10th June for a private party.
It’s gonna be a bit of a production.
We’d like someone who knows their way around a variety of gear to help with load in and set up, manage our guitars during the show and help with pack down at the end.
PM me to discuss if you think this is a bit of you.
Cheers!

If I lived in Auckland at that point I'd totally jump on this, however sizeist the ad.

And ageist.
Should have mentioned, I’d like whomever is keen, to come to rehearsal a few nights before to go through the rundown.

Well I did this one. I met more creative icons in one night than in the rest of my life put together. The Mysterons are an amazingly well connected band!
And they blew the roof off; Whammy was packed and rocking from the first song to the end.
Thank you for leaning on me Capt. Black; most fun I've had in ages!

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

I got to have great conversations with people I only hear on the radio, see in movie credits or remember as notable music presences in my life.
They can do whatever they want to me; it was worth it!

I forgot to mention for the show, I was set up in a squalid dunny just off the stage. Can't get more Rock'nRoll than that!
