I was very close to going, but in the end TOOL was the only band I was interested in so I couldn't really justify it.

Yeah I'm there!

Going to see Trivium, Muse, Tool, Jet. Maybe the killers just to get a good crowd position.

Slayer/Mastodon tickets went on sale 9am today. 80ish dollars. I'll be there too.

I'm not going, but everytime some looks at me with a shocked/disgusted expression on their face and demands to know why not, I kind of wish I was just a little bit. Tool would be the biggest drawcard for me. Not enough to actually get any more of my money though.

I'll be going, but I can't say I'm exactly chomping at the bit to see any band in particular. I'm probably most interested to see the Violent Femmes, Killers and Tool.. perhaps some Muse.
There are actually a few NZ bands that are on at the same time as the 'big' acts which I wouldn't mind seeing too.. but it's that familiar BDO dilemma that pushes crowds to see the international acts as you don't know when they will return to our shores - and the local acts get the passed out drunks and a handful of fans.

Nah, can't see myself going this year. It's just too long a day to hang around to see a couple of bands I'm only marginally interested in. A couple of years ago it was the best (for me). The Darkness, Placebo, Deftones, Shihad, Metallica...NOW were talkin.
