Coheed and Cambria

Post by symphonist »

29 March, Auckland, The Powerstation...

Should be cool seeing the new material played live, looks like its only the one concert though.

If anyone finds the singer's balls, please return them.

Another band I'd like to see, and another Auckland only "tour". Poobums.

The concert was amazing. Quite possibly the best of the year across genres. They were so tight and the fact that they were playing such an intimate venue (when they usually pack stadiums) made it all the more special.

Even better was the fact that there were no under-18's allowed entry (despite no R18 warnings on the tickets).

They may not have shred solo's but the riffing is based on a good technique and I've yet to see a current band which kicks arse as much as Coheed.

The Iron Maiden song thrown in the medley was cool as well..
