MESHUGGAH in NZ ?

Post by robnobcorncob »

Right now the rumours are circulating wildly. Thomas Haake (their Drummer) has said:

Are you planning on visiting any countries that you have not visited before in support of the new album?
T - Yeah, Australia, Japan and New Zealand. We don't know yet but hopefully before we are done touring for this album we'll have done a few shows in South America and possible South Africa. That would be cool. But at least we know it's already booked as far as Australia, Japan and New Zealand. We have done Scandinavia, Europe and the US, those are the only territories we have really covered.

My bet is RW Entertainment or Soundworks touring have hooked up a deal to bring them over after their aussie leg, as it's common to tour Aussie after Japan...

Does anybody wanna tease me with details they might just be aware of? Common guys !!

No? why? Are you going to Dillinger Escape Plan?

Everyone knows you can't mosh to Meshuggah, the polyrhythms prevent such a thing

Actually, the drums play a pretty straight 4/4. It's the guitars that play polyrhythms, but they always mesh again after every 32 beats or so. It's all irrelevamt now that they're only playing in Orcland.

I think I'll have exhausted my concert budget by then with Children Of Bodom and Satch in the Naki - I hope. Concerts always cost me ticket price + flights. Thankfully I have accommodation and transport in AK thanks to a mate of mine that goes to these gigs with me. Don't know where I'll stay in the Naki. Still, it's a homecoming of sorts, being a Waitara boy by birth.
