I'm not vehemently opposed to that version.. not sure what the problem is..Jenesis wrote:Here's the version in question. The video is lacking in action, but should please fans of big hair.

The problem is the album version has a big fat chorus with an awesome 80's rock guitar sound that makes you air guitar the instant it chimes in. This one is kind of limp.rocklander wrote:I'm not vehemently opposed to that version.. not sure what the problem is..Jenesis wrote:Here's the version in question. The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

That probably is supposed to sound like the Whitesnake song since there are a few cues in the video that point to it.Ironbird13 wrote:that reminds me so much of this...

There is a Jaguar car that's featured quite prominantly and in the video to the whitesnake sond it's a Jaguar (different model, but it was the '80s) that the babe rolls around all over the bonnet (hood for those yanks out there) of.
That song structure is so similar in places it's great.
I remember the "Drifter" version when it came out in the 80's (1987?) as it was when the huge AOR wave started crossing over into harder rock, the era of: Animal by Def Leppard, Crazy Crazy Nights - Kiss, and even What About Love and These Dreams etc. by Heart.
I remember coming across the older, original., Hobo version much later, even though it was original...
