Yeah, I love the look on that Verbovibe, or whatever they call it. A little out of my price range though. Maybe one day.Hot_Grits wrote:Awesome amp. Given the budget to do so it would be a very difficult choice for me between a lil King S and headstrong's brown vibroverb clone.

Only one I see on the CAB site is:
HEADSTRONG
Lil' King Reverb 1x12 combo
$2995.00

So glad to hear that Darren!
Sure is a sweet amp. I've taken countless amps to Clarry and he seldom comments on them from a sonic/tonal perspective - but when he had a listen to the Lil King-S, he said "really clever" and "that's got some magic in it".
The Lil King-S 1x12 combo that Darren plays is priced at $3595 - price can be sharpened a bit for NZG members though.

Hah, no matter which way you sharpen the price I'd still be too poor
But yeah, can vouch for the quality tones

Re: Headstrong
Yeah, maybe Chris, but it's a SERIOUS bargain price range when you compare it to the equivalent Victoria prices and actually is really in 'high-end' Fender amp price range..... I'm pretty sure Conrad is gonna pull the trigger on one and even Dougal Speirs was wetting himself on Sat about the tone.... and he usually sniffs in disgust if it's "not a Fender, man!"....

Re: Headstrong
@ the henderson:
1. It weighs less.
2. It takes up less space
3. It's got a clean sound easily as good as the Victorlux.
4. It get's all 'tweedy' when I turn up the volume.
