Mike Patton does'nt like singing Falling To Pieces hence why they dont play it live anymoreNZRS-Dave wrote:Apparently, one of my friends was at their sound check and one of them (he didn't say which) said that they had nearly 80 songs in their repertoire rehearsed and ready to go.
80 songs ... and they didn't manage to dump a lesser known one and chuck in From Outta Nowhere or Falling To Pieces (someone just reminded me that they didn't play that one either.)
Oh well, I am over it now.

I went, big FNM fan, yeah they didnt play a lot of their bigger songs, no digging the grave or everythings ruined either.
but personally i thought it was an awesome set, got some songs i really didnt expect to hear such as just a man and rv. thought the final encore of pristina was a wierd choice, thought theyd finish on a hard out note, but just sorta trailed off.......
if i knew the auckland show was going to have such a different set i wouldve considered trying to get to both, seeing them twice in 13 years is alright though.
was one of the first times ive gone to a show and paid very little attention to the guitarist, i was watching billy gould and mike bordin hold down the rhythm. mike patton was on form i thought, the suggestion that it sounded like he was just farting the lines out was sometimes true, but sometimes it was the correct way for the song to be sung.
wouldve liked them to play for another hour or so to get all their songs in, but i understand that they want to mix it up a bit.
