Anyone notice theres no crowd shots or noise at all and that there are a couple of cameramen in front of stage? I reckon this is either a soundcheck or a press/media gig. Might explain why Chino is relatively controlled and singing at his best?!

Yeah it's a promotional gig, it was streamed live to web. I think it's just basically in their practice studio!

Nah its in Dallas if the title is correct and they are based in Sacremento. I reckon you're right that its a promo gig but its a small venue or bar maybe.

I have to say, I do like Deftones.... except after WP album, I find they have lost the ....dunno, but they cant hold my interest.

Granted this album is pretty good, I can't seem to be able to listen without skipping past quite a few songs. Maybe I need to just hear it at the right time or something.

I had the same problem. I find with albums like this that dont grab you, the solution is: Turn it up.

...Not even kidding.

Crank it to eardrum bursting levels then back it off a tiny bit to save your ears, its a whole different album.

I have, still not helping it. Maybe I'm I am too spoilt with music these days and just don't jump at the chance to listen to the bands I once held highly.
