I think Slash did it too if I'm not mistaken.

I find it's a pretty good starting point for EQ'ing dirty or clean tones dpending on the amp/cab (open or closed back) and pickup types.

Awesome! It's actually the combo version, which is pretty compact and about the same size as my Mini Rec + 112.

There's still another part of the review to go!

Heh, yup. It's already recorded, I just need to do the write-up. Anticipate it being available early next week.

Played an Orange AD30 last night, was pretty cool! A bit dark for me but that's the Orange flavour, right? The gain sounds were ripping! How does that compare in spec/sound to your Rockerverb?

Yeah. Dark is their flavour a bit, hence they work better with the V30s and G12Hs. I love the AD30 amps (When I tested the my new tele that's what I went to play through). I reckon they are bit brighter and janglier, less low end thump (possibly due to the EL84s?), but I've only played them in rockshop scenarios. Obviously they're no where near the rockerverb gain levels, but I rarely go above 1pm on the gain knob on the RV100, instead preferring to try and push the EL34s harder, where the soundman lets me
Any gain past 3pm on the RV takes you to Mastodon country (and Jim Root Slipknot too I guess, since he uses one). Loose, and doom/stoner-esque (I see this term a lot these days...). Cleans are bit more interesting on the AD30 with the "Class-A"ness of it.
But overall they sound fairly similar. Of course ol' Jimmy Page has been using an AD30SC for his few more recent outings, but whose to say it hasn't had 500 mods done on it.

Hahaha. Did you sign up for email updates? I'll do my best. The clips are recorded, just needs to be written up.

I think what I'll do from now on is let the subscribers have at it first, and MyFaceTwit about it a few days later - let the bots crawl over the page first, as they have thus far been unsuccessful in showing preview pics.

So, um yeah - subscribe! :)

Haha yeah I was trying that plugin thing out (sorry) but it doesn't really work properly that way. You won't get another one unless you decide to sign up! :)

Soooo many plugins on Wordpress. I could (I have) spent a LOT of time messing around with it.
