The really sad part is, that when I started this thread, this is exactly what I new would happen...people that post on the thread wouldn't bother reading it, and the few that did, don't think it's worth mentioning any bands because no one here would give a shit!

Never mind, as you were,
Like cholera said, most people can't resist to have a dig on NZMM.

And guitar forums are generally not the best place to discuss the music itself, the diversity in tastes are too wide. It's easier to get actual discussions going at the genre appropriate forums.

Anyway while we are at it, here are some NZ bands I like:

I had Arc of Ascent on my facebook, and Sex Pest is a great band name!

PCP Eagles are cool!

Well, a band I hadn't heard. And we're related by a guitar as well. :D
"Vince, have you ever tried playing an expensive bass?" - Polarbear.
"And isn't that the finest acoustic bass guitar feedback solo you've ever heard?" - Billy Moose.

Hopefully this link is In darkest light, not as heavy as these others, there's some live clips too!

And lighter again, this is Storm Eater, filmed on an Ipad from one side of the stage so you get mostly rhythm and sounds quite plain, but you get the general idea. The lead does come through in parts!
