The Beach Boys film Love and Mercy portrays Brian Wilson as experiencing music playing constantly in his head. A growing body of research suggests that this rare phenomenon might have been behind his creative talent.

I always do... well if I'm not focusing on something there is some song playing in there.
But its not my own music or anything so I don't think it helps me creatively lol

I have a constant whistling in my ears. Does that count?
Actually, Pete Townshend talks about this in his biog.

I have constant noise when I'm home, but I suspect that's my kids...

unlike Brian tho it's done me absolutely no good whatsoever
i'd quite like a bit of peace and quiet now to be honest

Yep ever since i was a kid. I remember when it switched on - had watched "the time machine" with parents, went to bed shaking with fear of the morlocks, as i lay there freaking out this music started in my head and calmed me.
Beach Boys sure were a fascinating band. None of them could sing that well, but with their interest in 50's pop harmonies, a slavedriving father, and Brians freakish musical gifts, (hearing the finished vocal arrangements in his head, then transcribing the parts and teaching them to the others), they sure were something...
I suspect the classic beach boys harmony sound was mostly Brian multitracking himself. Any pre Kokomo live footage ive seen the vocals sound nothing like the studio, and post Kokomo sounds "exactly" like the studio cut. (mimed)

Mids so haunting that demons took over my living room and now my guitar glows!

When I've gone through stages of depression I get songs playing in my head and I can't turn them off, absolute nightmare when you're desperate for sleep
