Your colour, Esquire?
I'm spraying a Kahikatea Esquire to take down to G-Tar in August. It will have a maple fretboard/neck, chrome hardware and one pickup as is an Esquire's habit. Probably no pickguard unless it looks like it needs one, because a pickguard can be added, but not un-added.
What colour should it be?
NOT black
NOT butterscotch blonde
NOT a traditional sunburst
I favour a satin transparent tint of some flavour. Probably an unusual take on a traditional choice like a transparent equivalent of one of Fender's custom colours or something along those lines.
Any suggestions?

Primer grey?
More seriously, sky blue wouldn't be too awful.

I'm not a big fan, but you can't get any more iconic than Fiesta Red.ash wrote:Probably an unusual take on a traditional choice like a transparent equivalent of one of Fender's custom colours or something along those lines.

Either that, or you could just have a look at the actual Fender colour chart?dayl wrote: EDIT: Heres the site you enter the codes if you feel inclined: http://www.2createawebsite.com/build/hex-colors.html

GIven that it's a maple fretboard ... I was thinking of a transparent black. Maybe a blackburst?
Typed this ... went to the othe computer and forgot to send it for 25mins.

Yeah, or you can just play with the colour pickers in GIMP or Photoshop which, if you have them, would be less laborious If it's meant to be a modern take on a traditional Fender colour, I thought the actual chart was a good place to start. No biggie.dayl wrote:I dont see a 00FF33 on that chart. You can also just drop them into google and click on the first link for a full screen in your face exampleVince wrote:Either that, or you could just have a look at the actual Fender colour chart?dayl wrote: EDIT: Heres the site you enter the codes if you feel inclined: http://www.2createawebsite.com/build/hex-colors.html
