Slug tape
Just shielded by tele using an $8 roll of copper slug tape from bunnings with very very good results.
Went from unusable buzziness in the evenings when the lights and dimmers were on to near silent, even with fingers off the strings.
Did my p bass too with similar results.
Just thought I'd mention as it's cheap stuff and very easy to work with.

Re: Slug tape
About an inch and a half? Not wide sheets, but wide enough that only a few passes are needed for each cavity.jeremyb wrote:How wide is it?

Re: Slug tape
It's very easy. Should take you about an hour max.vintage52 wrote:Is it difficult to do?
I do have a very noisy Tele.
And I have no soldering skills.
Minima soldering skills required.
While holding the base of each, try placing the tip of a pencil in the same place as the tip of a bread twisty tie. Ifyou have the motor skills to do that, you can solder.

Re: Slug tape
Connect it to ground and run a line of solder across each strip to connect them together. The adhesive insulates the strips from each other.bbrunskill wrote:so do you just line the cavity on the guitar? do you have to connect it to ground or anytyhing?
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.
