Replacing the Allen Bolts on an Edge Bridge
I have some rusted Allen Bolts on my bridge that will need to be replaced in the near future before my OCD kicks too hard.
Any idea where I can pick some up? Im guessing some hardware store etc but I honestly have no idea.
Cheers

Can probably get the real deal on ebay, but otherwise a proper fastener supplier would be my first port of call, at least being japanese it will be metric! If you do contact one, what you need to ask for are cap screws

Just take them into the fastener place and endure the sneers They're generally not too bad....

Just go to Black's Fasteners or some such armed with the part and they'll sort you out. Pick a Saturday morning or they'll tell you that they need to deal with the commercial customers first (I've had this when looking for random motorbike fasteners) which is fair enough I suppose.

As others have said go into a shop that specialises in fasteners and they'll sort you out. What Edge bridge is it? I think most of the larger bolts on my Original Edge were M4 x 0.7mm pitch.

My youthful locking-trem memories are strewn with pictures of stripped and crossed threads and ham-fisted, wrong size allen key holes that rounded so quickly you'd think they were made of cheese.
I have similar memories from working on Suzuki motorbikes. Same brand of cheese.

Cheers guys. Yeah I've found a few local places and will check out blacks also. I can seem to find the specs of the bolts. If a fixed edge 3. Not sure if it would have changed from the original edge. I'll just have to take a couple in when I go to change them.

Yep, some jap bikes had bolts made of lead, got sick of swapping them for proper cheese head allen boltsMolly wrote:My youthful locking-trem memories are strewn with pictures of stripped and crossed threads and ham-fisted, wrong size allen key holes that rounded so quickly you'd think they were made of cheese.
