Hi folks,

I had a yarn to the partner of a friend a few days ago, let's call him Andy for the sake of the story

He has a Les Paul Studio that he bought back in his covers band days, and he once lent it to someone and it had a jug of beer tipped over it. All the electronics are stuffed, the finish damaged, and he misses it.

Andy is currently not able to work full time thanks to some health problems and has also absolutely been through the wringer with depression.

I thought I'd shout out to the NZG massive - does anyone out there have a spare set of humbuckers or pickup switch for a Gibson LP that are sitting in a parts box?

Together we could probably fix this broken guitar up and probably make his year.

Let me if you have something and would be happy to get involved

Rummaged through my parts bin and the switch that's been there forever is nowhere to be found. Will have another look tomorrow. Does he need any other parts? Might have pots.

Shame it's not a Strat. I've loads of that crap.

I've got pots, it's really the switch and pickups that would be useful

all they need is a clean mate. steep them in some electronics cleaner, use the misses toothbrush and some of that elbow grease you old man told you about.
they will come up lovely.
