Thought I would update for anyone interested...

The reason my switching went to shite was because I had without realising bent one of the contacts of the pickup switch over and it was touching the one beside it.

With everything working as it should, the switch is an awesome thing to have. In some ways it's like adding another channel to your amp. I can go from rhythm crunch to screaming lead with the flick of a toggle switch now- sweet!

Only thing I have to get used to is making sure I put the switch back to engage the volume pot before switching to my clean channel, otherwise it will be too freakin loud! (I forgot a few times and upon hitting a chord scared the shit out of myself and my bandmates).

Going to install this on all my gats now.
