North sea surf radio

Post by StrummersOfThunder »

For those of you wanting an introduction to surf guitar, or for those seasoned surfers who want a little more reverb in their life...

http://www.northseasurfradio.org/

Out of Norway, this streaming radio station has no adds, chit chat or..lyrics!

Nice mixture of classic 60s surf through to modern surf/spy noir.

Enjoy :)

I have a pad that I write down tunes as I hear em if I think theyd be good to do with the band.

Sorry; North Sea surf does not make me think of Pipeline and bikinis.

More like shipwrecks and hypothermia.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Well have a listen. You'll see it's fairly dark and brooding most of the modern surf music.
But seeing as you mention it, 'pipeline' by the chantays ihas a pretty dark driving verse with throbbing trem and thunderous run downs. Not playful bikini stuff.

One covers band I was in did a metal version of pipeline, it actually worked quite well.
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.
