Hey profuse apologies mate. Meant to let everyone know what was happening. Been really busy and a bit slack. No excuse I know.dc wrote:I'll take that as a no thenadrian0476 wrote:Mangawhai, Raglan & Napier slots taken. Wellington still open but finalising some details with a couple of potentials.
Wish we'd gone with Black Dog for Mangawhai but the guys were worried about changeover times for a full band vs a soloist. The solo guy that was eventually hooked up to do that support slot never even showed up. No phone call, e-mail, nothing. Even just a call to say "Hey it's raining and I can't be fucked" would have been ok. Rude.

Rob from Men of The World's supposed to be emailing me at some stage but haven't heard squat yet so it's officially still an open slot. Preference is for bands, also original music. Had another hit from the Rock Shop website this morning. Covers band.

Relatively unknown band. Small town. $10 door charge at the local pub. Torrential rains. No, not really. I think we might have covered costs.
Played at the Beerfest the next day, sea of people who were familiar with our single and were singing along. More than made up for it. Gotta take the good with the bad
Hoping Raglan's going to be good this Friday. Apparently they love a bit of country/blues/reggae down there. Good support as well from locals The Hand Me Downs.

And we're done looking. Thanks to those who PM'd me with suggestions. We've locked in two local acoustic acts for Wellington, The Men of The world and Tommy & The Fallen Horses.
