Multi-instrumentalist for trio (North Shore,Auckland)

Post by bobiron »

I want to get a nimble trio together to do covers with wide appeal and do gigs that require less space and gear than a full-on band. Concept is to do straight and possibly alternative/irreverent versions of songs and maybe the odd original if the gig permitted. So you need to have an open mind to this kind of approach.

I have a drummer who is interested and I do guitar, keys, vocals and some bass if needed to. Ideally I am looking for a multi instrumentalist who has a range of taste/styles/skills and can do vocals with bass as first instrument with ability on other instruments too, e.g. keys, guitar/uke to do some swapping round. An interest in writing would be great as I enjoy that activity in a collaborative setting. Age and gender are not an issue, we are just fifty somethings who enjoy playing and want to have some fun and get out there and play occasionally.

We live in Torbay, Auckland.
