Singer looking to start or join band

Hi, I just graduated high school and am looking to either start my own band or join one.
I am a female singer and I want to be a rock musician professionally and eventually move to the states with the band. I'm interested in any kind of rock or metal music, my own personal style is along the lines of Flyleaf, The Pretty Reckless, Paramore, PVRIS, but I open to anything.
I am trained in both classical music and contemporary but haven't been to lessons in a couple years.
I'm pretty much willing to travel anywhere in NZ for this too.
