Guitarist available in Wellington for Jam

Hi All,
Been down in Wellington (Upper Hutt) for a little while and would really like to get back into playing with other musicians. I'm just starting to get back into playing the guitar, so my fingers are about as felixable as pork crackling and I'm sure my playing sounds like a typewriter being thrown down stairs for the moment. I'm sure it will fix itself, but hey, practice makes perfect.
I have gear, transport and I have played with musicians before (also played in a covers band, so there has been some experience playing in front of crowds).
I'm open to playing anything but primarily prefer rock/metal and do prefer to play rhythm guitar over lead.
Family/baby would mean that availability might be a bit random though.
