No it was, but the rules of wank-word bingo exclude it from counting. Damn.badmotor wrote:Was that not mngspk? Prolly explains why I have no employees of my own ...

edit: My mind is made up. I am adamant on the subject. There is no room for discussion. But if you do want to discuss it further, my door is always open. [/mgmntspk]
there you go.

Sustainability.
If you don't use that, you're not up to date.

Sorry but that is sooo last decade. Reducing our footprint is the current version.Polar Bear wrote:Sustainability.

If only.
Just finsished doing Mgmt 101 at Vic in Wellington on my recession busting quest for more knowledge, Uni second time round is awesome. Anyway, Sustainability is what the entire Management school is based upon.
Good news though, reducing one's carbon footprint can easily be assimilated into Sustainability, so that makes for fun times all round.

Yeah sorry my bad for being out of touch (recent slide form mid 30's to late 30's I think allows me to be out of touch), but in my mgmt 101 was all about sustainability... and that was in the 90's.

it's as always, about dollars, and that means funding. govt. are only just starting to buckle under the overwhelming pressure of 'voters' that want to feel good about themselves and fool themselves into thinking they can make a scrap of difference about the planet getting warmer. therefore sustainability is all the buzz so the govt can throw buckets of cash at the lost cause. bearing in mind that reducing the footprint goes someway to fulfilling these fantasies, engaging in sustainable design and practices makes them feel even more secure in that fantasyland of 'saving the planet'.

I think the attack the dredge thing is common internet practice, and is expected on any forum The problem is that most of the time the dredge is performed here it's to bring new information or questions to an exisiting thread, which is the right thing to do, as opposed to starting a new thread because you are too retarded busy to search the forum for a topic that is already discussed.Polar Bear wrote:More to the point, what's the issue with dredging? Although it does mean that Rocky can't bust out the fantastic pic of a search box with lots of arrows on it, so it's a bit of a conundrum How else will we drive away the n00bs?!?

For every thread where we welcome a new member there will another thread where a member commits forum suicide. And so the seasons continue...Jenesis wrote:A relentless barrage of sarcasm and smart-arsery? The old ways are still the best.Gelato wrote:How else will we drive away the n00bs?!?
