it has to be part of your practice regime
I neglected mine, sadly thinking chops would solve everything
but they don't
I used to envious of golden ears musicians but it's a learned skill, if you practice you can do it.

I need to practise it more for sure. What you guys have done here is awesome thou, sounded pretty sweet when playing it. Will give it another go tomorrow and may post a full song tab for you guys to tear apart and critique.

Thanks for making me listen to Weta again! This is such a sweet album.
Anyway, I wish I could contribute but all I would add is that the Cm7 on "Let it Go" seems to me to be:

in the theory section borge talked of using the bVII as apart of 'modern music' which for him made key signatures or diatonic harmony maybe non text book in their real life applications.
I could suggest that potentially this song moves this way.
In that thread, I think I was (or I was meaning to) referring to the use of (the non diatonic) bVII in a major key, whereas this song is a minor key, where the bVII is diatonic

yes
track 1 = C minor
track 2 = Bb major
my fault I had labeled some note here the wrong way.
I quite like track #4 might have a go at this today.

Track 4 = my favourite. A tab would be cool, although I can never be bothered actually learning a song from start to finish and just prefer mashing a few chords by ear.

ok I have a go at track #4
I was contemplating the use of the same chords, how bands or at least singers have their 'favs'
and I looked at some things I have written over the years
I wonder how common it is for this too happen. I suppose if the primary writer is also the singer it is more likely to happen.

yes it's once again Bb major or G minor = the key
I play the verse ascending G C Eb F
chorus is Eb to F but changing on the and of 4(?)
there is some descending movement form the bass player at least to get down to G, before the resolve V
not quite sure what the bass is doing in the intro, but G minor riffage is good
I need better headphones and better ears to decipher it.

good. the intro has some movement that may not be related to what the guitar is doing. alternately your tip on the second guitar playing a sus chord or 4th may be 'misleading' me. on this stereo the bass on this track is very low, EQ ing is not solving... it's not until the vocal starts does it seem to balance out.
