Re: My quest to play like Randy Rhoads
I'm still on the Randy Rhoads mission, although I've been learning some Jake E Lee, Viv Campbell and ZW solos too.
I've been working on the spotlight solo from the tribute album. I'm getting there, i just need to get it a bit clearer and develop better muting.
This was done direct with my GT-10 and using the power amp section of my nephew's old vampire, I can't wait to try it with my new amp.

NZRS Matt just advised it has been delayed again for another 24 days. It's beyond RS control, Matt has been really helpful, but I am sick of waiting. It's only a matter of time now.willow13 wrote:welcome back man.....did the rhoads amp ever turn up??

Re: My quest to play like Randy Rhoads
Still trying to double track em like Randy, I think this is my best attempt yet, that I've caught on tape.
You can hear my gat louder than Randy's (especially when I try to break the neck at the end of the solo) but he's still carrying my sorry ass .

Video is out of sync with audio, sorry. So I added the freaky effect.

Re: My quest to play like Randy Rhoads
Thanks Hamo, I had a quick read and will get back to it later on today (very busy, running late )
I listened to the recording of one of those lessons, very cool it was.
