Get You Back - Shawn Lane cover (new version)

I did a version of Shawn Lane's "Get You Back" last year, but my string skipping was teh failZ.

After ripping off Shawn's playing for an Onfire solo, I've had another crack at it, with somewhat better results, thus:

I'd never heard of him or Black Oak Arkansas, but if his work is as melodic as that clip you've played - I missed out on some tasty playing.

By the way, he never recorded with Black Oak. He came in later, and played with them live - and subsequently took them in a fusiony direction (though I think they returned to dinosaur rock later on )

Just listened to a few - yes, nice work. I like the more melodic stuff, which fits with my 'less is more' philosophy.

Its a pity he was only able to afford toy guitars, though...
