A Short Snippet

Here's the first part of something I came up with. It sounds very Satriani/Vai, and the melodies came to me a little too easily, so pleeaase tell me if I've ripped something off

Oh yeah, I'm back posting again... cue the party poppers and streamers

Doesn't sound like it's ripping anything off that I've heard before. Get on and finish it, it sounds great so far

I can totally hear the 18 and Life similarity. Damn it's hard to be original while being middle of the road!

The recording was done 100% using plugins:

EZ Drummer for the drums
Reason Bass Refill
POD Farm for all guitars except the lead (can't seem to get a decent lead sound out of it)
Logic's Guitar Amp Pro for the lead (not as good as miking, but easier).

Geez, I dunno. I've found this strange thing happening to my face sometimes. My mouth gets wider and sometimes my teeth even show. It's like an upside down frown. What the fuck's happening to me?
