Not too bad ... once again the solos weren't loud enough. They sounded good, what I could hear of them.

What were you recordign with?

Also, any reason for the three mins silence at the end of the track?
Yup - that's me and my pal Steve or little stevie vai as I like to call him. In Auckland airport when I was 26. I'm not 26 anymore.

nice oldskool thrash feel to it 8)
Hurdy Gurdy.... some how... and I'm not entirely certain how mind you, an instrument that sounds like someone has shoved a nest of angry hornets into a goose with a kazoo bill and is randomly slapping the poor creature with an accordion.... Sounds amazing.

I thought the solos were loud enough? I guess it depends what speakers you play it on cause they seem fine to me!

I'm glad that you guys like it, we're sorta on hiatus cause I'm living in Nelson but the other guys are in chch, I just come down to chch every school holidays so we can practice and what-not. By the end of the year we'll be ready to gig and what not so definitely looking forward to all that!

I think we were recording with pro-tools, we just did it with school but hired a sound engineer. And the 3 minutes of silence was bad Windows Movie Maker skills

Ah young padawan ... more solo volume please.

A shame to have the shred not IN-YER-FACE more.

Lawerence and the other studio engineers will be able to comment more but the solo should 10% louder than the rest of the band as a change of focus. I was thinking of other songs that have a few iconic solo spots ... and this came to mind.

That's Iconic....really ...I guess if your 14 it might be

Anyway I agree with Dave that the solo is way to low. As a rough guideline it should be at the same level as the vocal.....

It def has a nuclear assault feel with a solo that mustaine would have played on kill em all
