New Tune

Post by ascend »

Did this one over the last few days. It was originally intended to be an industrial thing but ended up morphing into heavy partially-improvised blues. Inspired by driving home down the southern motorway at 4AM, hopelessly sleep deprived and battling 4AM type thoughts (OMG DID I JUS SEE A YETI CROSSING THE ROAD!?") Criticism/Props/Insults welcome. Cheers. :)

I'm liking that ... to my ears there's a lot more Satch than Vai going on there ... :)

You just can't limit your vision to one style, can you? ;)

That was cool 8) I'd agree that there's discernible Satch-y tendencies in the lead - not surprising, given your description of "heavy partially-improvised blues". I really love from 1:41 when the opening piano figure comes back, and is utilised more than it is right at the beginning.

Listening to it again, I can really imagine a 4am motorway drive. 8)

I like :D
