A sad clip

Last week I attended about the saddest thing I've ever been a part of, and I can tell you that funerals for 6 year old completely suck

What with the emotions running high at the time - for the little girl who had died, and for her mother who works with me - and the thoughts and feelings I was having about my own little girl, I was pretty much a wreck (I don't know how her family were even upright). That evening I was still feeling so awful I just had to get the feelings out, so I wrote a short little piece which I subsequently recorded. I took it in to work and played it for her mother today (I can still hardly believe she came back to work on Monday

). So now that she's heard it I thought I'd post it here (to kind of add to the 'getting my feelings out' thing).

Sorry to hear that, I have no sound on my PC anymore, so I can't hear it?

how did she die? Its always hard when a child dies.

I lost a friend when I was 14 who died at school during the cross country race,. He just fell over and died. I think it was from a heart attack. which when you are 14 only happens to really old people.

She had been ill, and had a seizure and died, apparently. I don't know the details.

It's just not right.

I agree, it is not right.

As a rather emotional person at the best of times, I don't believe I would be able to handle losing one of my kids.....

That's sad to hear, about the young one. Nice track too.

Reminds me of a guy I used to jam with when I was 18, young guy who was the son of the people who I worked for at the time. He took his own life at 16, which was something I had a really hard time with mainly due to the fact I was the last of his friends to see him the afternoon before he did it. Some of the songs I wrote in earlier bands related to it.

Hey Tsuken, very sweet piece and totally understandable in such a sad situation.

It's a amazing how, once you have kids, whatever happens in the world makes you think about their mortality and never your own.

I wish all the best for the child's family and friends.

on my second week at school I was walking to school with my best friend and
his hat blew onto the road he ran to get it and was hit by a car he wasn't dead on impact but he died in hospital 3 days later I will never let my kids walk to school by themselves if i do have kids.

One of the guys in that new police ad about speeding near schools is a friend of my parents. He's the principal of a primary school situated on the main road and has seen many kids bowled at crossings, and a couple killed.

Too many morons behind the wheel these days.
