It's good to be here finally! BTW as I recall you showed me a thing or two about playing guitar and making music in general.

Besides, the more I know - the more I realise I don't know!
Maybe I try too hard - so call me Captain Backfire!

Actually I was hoping everyone would come up with a trail of axes, the guitars they wished they'd never sold or the guitars they were glad to be rid of but became someone else's grail....or perhaps got passed on, passed on and passed on...

Hey I remember that red guitar TGeek. I passed it on to a fantastic guitarist from Whangarei. He stripped it and glued foil to it and magazine cut-outs and painted it Daphne Blue...

Wonder where it is now?

Gelato has a great one of those stories.

Me, I don't sell guitars. I've thrown one away: plywood-bodied samick strat. I've not acquired any "belonged to so-and-so" guitars/stories either.

I had a plywood bodied Segovia with a faux van Halen finish which is now hanging on a mate's wall over his bar...better proposition than someone playing it at least (shudder). I have given two guitars away and never sold one, like rocklander, not sure if I could part with any...

Manawatu TV and Sound - back in the day when they were the all powerful - all conquering Megagopoly(?!?) that towered large over a poor defenseless city that didn't know any better! But I'm not bitter! (Long story!!)

Ah yes, I remember they had that top-line Nuno Washburn for several grand and 6-7 years later sold it for $400 bucks...I spotted it but in the time it took me to head home and return with the reddies it was gone, doh!

What did they stuff up for you? Have they gone?

Kind of late and not to interrupt the flow but you do sing very well. I can't sing worth beans, I tell everyone that's why I play classical, so I don't have to!
