Something I recorded with a Pocket POD

Post by Basket Case »

Here's something I just put together with the Pocket POD I gave myself for xmas. Sounds pretty decent for the price and is very quick and convenient for practice or getting ideas recorded without the hassle of mics.

If anyone's keen to add a solo I will extend the backing track and post it up.

Oh, be warned- there's some shameless shredding! 8)

TABS dammit!! And also guitar lessons please...

The recording tone doesn't quite do it for me, but I guess for what it is, it works. Did you add effects through the POD, or afterwards? The verb/delay or whatever you've got going on sounds very good, it's just the distortion in general that seems slightly muffled to me.

The effects are the POD's. Yeah you're right, it has that amp modeller/speaker simulator muffledness to it. It doesn't sound as good as it would played through my amp and effects, but for $240 I think it does ok.

You didn't mention you did it on the pod, sounds pretty good for a plug and play job- not as good as your $20000 rig 'tho

Your playing is superb, and I actually liked the tones too. Who needs mega distortion when you can play like that!

Thanks for the kind words guys. No doubt this piece will be added to my ever-expanding collection of songs that I've lost interest in and never bothered to finish

I use ezdrummer as a plugin with Fruity Loops. I can't recommend it enough.
