GT-6 Recording Tone Test - latest progress up!
Finally getting around to using my GT-6 as a recording tool. Been mucking around with some metal tones for recording straight into the laptop line-in, I think it sounds pretty decent but I'd like to hear what you guys think.
Cheers

Slick. I've been thinkin about getting one of those, this is defintiely encouraging. What's the chorus and reverb/delay like ? I'm looking for a subtle bit of 80s metal shimmer to the sound. Think Iron Maiden circa Seventh Son album...

I love the GT-6. Just need to get my head around tweaking everything once and for all. It's awesome

not had much of a chance to listen until now, man. It's cool, but there's something that I'm not sure about. I'm actually not sure whether it's file compression artefact ... checks bitrate ... 64 ... that might well be it: too much file compression making it bubbly and scratchy. Trying to filter that aspect out mentally ... I think it's quite nice. I'd like to hear a higher bitrate version though.
Good riff and recording too

good sounding riff! gt 6 is pretty cool i got one too.powerful and convient to use. i used to hate it cus i had it hooked up to my stereo speaker linked to my pc but i didn't know you can change the output option to pa/line and it sounded really crap. and i used to for live the last 2 years with my band very reliable.
but now got the fuzzie bro pedal which is just awesome! might switch to single pedal for the first time now!

Yup, I like it.
I have the GT6 and the GT8 and have been a 'digital' guitarist for years. I am impressed with the tones you got there, and I like the overall sound and riff you have created... My 16 year old daughter is a good guitarist and bass player and came right over when I played the clip and wanted to learn it .
Be interesting to see how the song evolves
I am planninng to expand my rig with a good tube amp soon (while still using the GT8 for effects and specific amp sounds), prob Mesa, but I think that digital gear gets more of a hard time than it deserves. For no fuss, light weight, versatile and portable guitar sounds its hard to go past GT6/8 or POD, I agree that they are not tube amps, but they are tools with a valid place in our industry.
Dont supose you would like to share your patches

Had a spasm of inspiration earlier tonight
I guess all I need now is to loop the verse/chorus one more time, add a solo, OUTRO solo And we're done!
