Wow... I seem to be the only one with a Hughes & Kettner?

Anyway... I have a BK 300, combo, 15" speaker. It has a compressor and a couple of other switches which I never really bother with. Quite a nice amp but I'm not really into amps so I'm not an expert. I've had Fender, Peavey and Laney amps and they were alright too, though they weren't massively inspiring.

The nicest sounding bass amp I have played through (not many) is a Holden 200W rig running 4 x KT88's. My mate installed them and tuned it up and it sounds awesome!

is this the Wasp?

I also remember having a crack through a SS Holden but I think it had sliders on the front for EQ(?)

No it wasn't the wasp. I will find out what it was called but it does have a graphic EQ.
