mmmm, nice bass - I love woodgrain. This is probably due to NEVER having owned a woodgrain organ.

The strat is a green fotoflame MIJ 54 reissue (with CS 54's in it). Fotoflame looks ok from a distance, but flat if you're close up. I only bought it because it was cheap, but its a bloody good strat :)
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

It seems bizarre to me that a '54 reissue should be finished in fotoflame when the original 1954 Strats were never done in flamed maple or fotoflame, or green for that matter....

It is the FotoFlame that makes it all the more special. Didn't you know that in 1954 Leo Made all his Strats in Green tiger flame.

Everyone nows that !!!

yeah back in the Jap reissue days of yore, you could order fotoflame on anything. Thank god its not one of the ones with it on the neck

Incidently I think Fender have the patent on 'fotoflame' so don't be using it on any of your axes!

I've never seen it on the neck - that'd be a hoot.

I had a bass (P-Lyte) with it on the headstock, though & imo it looked rather good!

it looks fine till you sit it on a stand next to a flamed LP, then it looks 2 dimensional and like a photo.

Oh yes the fotoflame necks usually have the headstock done too - just way over the top.

Well to match my headless Steinberger Guitar I just won the Steinberger Bass that was on Trademe. I was hoping noone would be interested in it but had a bit of a scrap getting it. Be a nice pair I guess

How can a man with a beautiful Ferrari have such poor taste in basses?? LOL

Congatats, mate - hang onto it, it may be worth something one day. Just NEVER be seen in public actually playing the thing - people will start to tar you with the same brush as BG and Ovation players.....
