When I look at it, all I wish is that the upper horn wasn't so large. Everything else looks superb. Count this as a howl of discontent though

it's sort of become the fashion for instruments with Low B to have the top horn coupling

Yes, there's a definite fashion element to it. They often also have lots of laminates with ebony veneers between each. Looks amazing, but I can't see it doing any tonal or structural good. Bass players are such fashion whores
