so fender have made a not golden glitter - or buzzard war-wick fugly version of an Adam clayton bass.

but - theres not much to see really, the tuning pegs - the neck profile is allegedly different. But no Binding?

- but as a proper Adam clayton fanboi I im disappointed this is a jazz bass at all. The overwhelming majority of his career and all the tracks he's famous for the mashed up sunburst Pbass, Badass bridge with the Jazz neck.( I know right, fanboi much?)
and the sherwood green thing, isnt even a thing he's known for.,., we all Macca played a rikki bass in wings a bit - but come on the Hofner is his signature.
Its not that this is a bad bass per say = but that whats it got to do with mr Clayton?/

Agreed. But still, I quite like it.

Maybe there will be a full-on relic'd custom shop jobby like Gilmours black strat, and cost $$$$?

Or not.
Larrivee 00 Acoustic. FAV Strat for electric. Ibanez SDGR5 for bass. Push for Ableton. When not doing that, 3D CAD for tunnels...

Yeah I agree, its a nice looking bass, but not what I'd associate with him.

One thing I've noticed about artists and their signature gats is that they all have quite different ideas on what they want to do. Many, Adam included, use it as an opportunity to do something new and different. Quite odd really, but not unprecedented.

Also, it's a shame they did it in the original blue, and not the uber-cool faded-to-green colour.
Nothing to see here.

I got that email update from Fender yesterday, but I had no idea who Adam Clayton was, so just deleted it without opening....
He hit a chord that rocked the spinet and disappeared into the infinite ...

Well Rog never heard of him.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

he is a very solid bass player. Him and larry are tight as fuck which is what allows edge to get away with making all the echo noise instead of playing guitar :moresarc:

He is in my opinion, among the greatest rock bassists. He’s not flashy, but he’s mentally solid. His vibe with Larry ridiculous. gReat rthmn section!

I'm still surprised there hasn't been an EHX DMM , or special edition Edge Vox. Or at least an explorer.
The Korg thing that Dallas Schoo is backing is close I guess. I mean, if your happy to climb in with the corporates like Apple which seems like a big deal, it seems obvious to have an endorsed product which seems much lower key.
But when you're gold toilet paper rich, you can do whatever you like. Twice.

Has anyone got the new album ( hard copy) with the cousin sessions etc?
