Yeah they do, they're actually single coils underneath the faux HB top!
The frets on mine have zero life left and the fretboard is flat (no radius).
If I get the frets done I might get the board radiused to 7.25"
My pups were really microphonic so I had them waxed and made a healthy change.
The neck radius is good, the frets are very vintage
So your fretboard has a radius?
I'm sure it does. I will have another look when I get home next week.
Mine is apparently built in 1975.

The Joy of Set Up
Got this back from Peter Stephen today…smooth sailing here. He’s fucked with the shim and zero fret then worked frets 6-9.
A great bass sounds even better now. Highly recommended Peter Stephens Luthier

What to make of this...
Obv not original case but also I cant find any evidence of a 1978 p bass having a gold anodized guard so Im picking this is non original also.
Free shipping and pickup from Oamaru - feels scammy. Recent positive feedback though, hard to know.

My 75 Greco Jazz has frettboard radius. Not much but it feels lovely to play.

My new rig got an airing on the weekend.
Ampeg V4B head and 2 Ampeg 112s
More than happy with it!
100w work well enough? That was always my trepidation with V4B's
It was more than enough, however I did bring my Bassman 500 along as a backup in case it was falling short. I swapped over to the Bassman for one set at a gig. Two quite different amp heads, although the overdrive channel on the Bassman can get quite close with a bit of gain. A lot of favourable comments at the gigs. I was using my old P Bass and my Ricky 4001, both sounded great
A few different gigs this next weekend so I'll be doing the same testing again.
