I dig all of it until you get to the bridge, which looks like the cheap thing that was on my Artist 5 string before I replaced itJump13 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 9:47 am https://bassmagazine.com/jackson-unveil ... cert-bass/
Jackson not really my thing but this looks quite cool for an active Jazz bass.
They are the OG Warwickjeremyb wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 9:56 am Spector basses, anyone had any experience? kinda digging the look of this: https://intl.ishibashi.co.jp/products/06-2800001697050
I had one of Warwicks squier like branded basses years ago that I should have never sold, was a brilliant piece of kit!TmcB wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 10:10 amThey are the OG Warwickjeremyb wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 9:56 am Spector basses, anyone had any experience? kinda digging the look of this: https://intl.ishibashi.co.jp/products/06-2800001697050
I like them but I’m a guy that likes Warwicks.
Fat necks, nice tones.
Well, they’re J pickups in huge housing. EMG J’s are not particularly punchy and Bartolini preamps and pickups skew heavily towards the soft and warm side. Without hearing, I guess it’ll tend towards being a bit pillowy and warm sounding on the whole.jeremyb wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 11:34 amI had one of Warwicks squier like branded basses years ago that I should have never sold, was a brilliant piece of kit!TmcB wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 10:10 amThey are the OG Warwickjeremyb wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 9:56 am Spector basses, anyone had any experience? kinda digging the look of this: https://intl.ishibashi.co.jp/products/06-2800001697050

What do you think of those EMG pickups?
Ahhhhh probably not gonna be my scene either then, I like the punchy bass toanz, which my current 5 string bass does happily, but shes a weighty beast!TmcB wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 12:05 pmWell, they’re J pickups in huge housing. Good thing about soap bars is you can get them in all sorts of combinations inside so the world is your oyster.
I’d swap the pre out for an Aguilar OPB-3 personally but this is all my taste coming out here
Buy it and swap out the pre and the pickups for Aguilars. I've got a Eurobolt 5 with the full Aguilar setup and it punches like a MF.jeremyb wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 12:37 pmAhhhhh probably not gonna be my scene either then, I like the punchy bass toanz, which my current 5 string bass does happily, but shes a weighty beast!TmcB wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 12:05 pmWell, they’re J pickups in huge housing.
