NBD: Gibby EB-3
Thought i'll contribute a thread, its been awhile since i have.
On a recent work trip to Japan i went looking for a nice old acoustic, however i decided i couldn't take the risk of not being able to hand carry it on the plane, and set out looking for a Fender Japan Mustang, always wanted one, and that same week, the JMJ Mustang had started to ship out.
shockingly I only found one mustang bass in the ochanamizu district, and the usual suspects in shinjuku/shibuya.
The mustang was at bass planet, which is where i chanced upon my latest purchase.
I've wanted one since playing one at the Swop shop in Melbourne, and there was a really clean one in Sydney that same time period, both were solid headstocks.
where it caught my eye

EBs are WONDERFUL basses, anything else sounds trebly by comparison.
I've always liked the look of those slotted pegheads, too. Classy,

Eb and Bb are where I cut my teeth, but that was a thousand years ago.

Re: NBD: Gibby EB-3
Both Eb and Bb keys actually lend themselves to open string chromaticism rakes ala James Jamerson / Anthony Jackson
