Tobias Bass
These photos are of my 2006/7 Tobias Growler
Made by Gibson in Arkansas. These are knobs only.
The first run of Growler were made by Gibson in Tennessee 1994/8. These all have 2 switches and 4 knobs.
The other models of that era are the Renegade and the Killer B. All have Bartolini pick ups
The last Tobias from Gibson was the American which had 2x Thunderbird humbuckers
ALL GIBSON era TOBIAS are made in USA
If your Tobias says made in Korea or China then its a Tobias or Epihone Toby model.
If anyone can confirm what the bridge is ( I think it's an ABM) PLEASE LET ME KNOW. The tuners are Grover.

Re: Tobias Bass
The serial.number and Made in USA is stamped into the back of the headstock.
The headstock was orginally an inlay , Gibson changed it to a decal.

Re: Tobias Bass
I suspect I have bought another one. Waiting to hear from the seller
Clearly I should make better use if my time
It is highly likely this Deal is literally TO GOOD TO BE TRUE but it might be salvageable.
Fingers crossed

Re: Tobias Bass
Hope it works out well! When it popped up it looked way too nice for the price they were asking.

Re: Tobias Bass
Cheers for the heads up last night. I felt it was a punt worth the risk. Not sure what the $ will be on original bridge and machine heads
We shall see assuming CC get back to me

Re: Tobias Bass
An innovative period for Gibson by the looks. I have a magazine from 1997 with an ad for a Gibson ES-336 guitar. Anyone want to see a pic?
